This yoga anatomy training course provides students with a strong understanding of functional anatomy and how movement of one part affects the whole. Offering an experimental learning environment, Yoga Lab 101 reaches basic structural anatomy, primary functions and movements of joints and muscles, common patterns of tension and weakness, and the effects of poor movement patterns on the body and breath. This 101 program provides a foundation for using yoga as a way to minimize imbalances and begin a journey to greater overall balance.

- Assess patterns of movement, including fulcrums, limitations, over-movement and how these impact balance and well-being in the body;

- Employ best practice sequencing for various common imbalances.
Yoga Lab 101 caters to those new to anatomy and physiology and those who want to apply previously learned knowledge in new ways. Course is appropriate for yoga teachers of all experience, exercise and movement professionals, and body workers. Take as a stand-alone course or in conjunction with the other Yoga Lab courses in the series.
