Why Weightless? …And Why Tra?
There are thousands of coaches, personal trainers, and yoga teachers out there, so why should you choose here and how?
First of all, I have been where you are. Up until I reached my mid-30s, I spent a lifetime in obesity. At 100 pounds overweight, I thought I would never have a good relationship with my body. When I was a young teen, I tried every fad diet, fasting, diet pills, cleansing, and not eating. You name it, I tried it. And nothing I did was healthy or long-lasting. At age 36, I decided I had to do something different. I could no longer bear the heaviness of my heart or the additional pounds on my body. I have been where you are. I know how it feels to be uncomfortable or unhappy in your own skin.
But I couldn’t do it alone. I sought accountability with my own coach, hired a personal trainer, and took stock of what I was trying to fill or avoid by abusing my body with harmful and unloving habits. I started to move more, exercise regularly, balance out my diet, and balance out my life! In about a year’s time, I lost over 100 pounds and have maintained a healthy lifestyle for over 15 years.
Outside of my personal journey, the last 16+ years of my career have been dedicated to helping people cultivate a better relationship with themselves and aligning their daily activities to that inner compass. As a life coach, personal trainer, and yoga therapist, I have spent nearly two decades studying behavior science, understanding habitual patterns, and creating tools for people to build strength (physical and mental), increase resiliency (physical + psycho-emotional), and come into greater body-mind alignment.
You may not need to lose 100 pounds. You may not need or want to drop any weight at all. Weightless isn’t about “losing weight”…. it’s about releasing our heavy burdens and creating a life of greater vitality and lightness.
